Recipe for Vegetarian Chow Mein
INGREDIENTS
2 Tbsp Sesame Seed Oil or Stir Fry Oil
Half a jar of Black Bean Sauce (make sure it is vegetarian as some brands have shrimp paste)
1 packet of firm Tofu (like Cauldron brand)
1 cm of fresh ginger - cut into small pieces
3 garlic cloves
1 celery stick
1 red chilli (if you want extra spice)
For the spices:
Dark Soya Sauce
Coarse black pepper
Chinese Five-Spice (can buy from the Pound shop ....good enough for me!)
For the vegetables:
Spinach
Bamboo shoots
Baby sweetcorn
Horse radish
Chilli - red or green
Cucumber (cut in small slices)
Fresh noodles

This looks absolutely delicious Debbie, and I will be cooking this for my son Dan, who is also a strict vegetarian. You make it look so easy. Although I am not vetetarian - I am heading that way. Looking forward to all your recipes and tips. Brigid Axtell
